M/Y Escape II
David designed a bespoke entertainment & control system upgrade for a 120ft Palmer Johnson Superyacht that was undergoing an interior refit.
Having previously worked on the owner’s Mayfair apartment, David was flown to France to specify a Crestron control system covering 12 zones.
David coordinated cable and equipment tests with the ship’s engineer remotely. He and a 3 man team then upgraded the entire system in just 10 days working 20-hour shifts.
The project was completed comfortably in time for sea-trials and David established a long-term
professional relationship with the captain, who praised the system as the best he’s experienced.
Albany, Piccadilly
David delivered two Crestron entertainment and control systems for the private apartments of world-famous architect Lord Norman Foster.
Both systems had to be extremely discreet so as not to spoil the carefully considered interiors. They included large custom-made mirror TV’s and invisible, plaster-in speakers. The systems were controlled by iPad and featured Spotify, Sky Q and Apple TV.
The success of these projects lead to an invitation to consult on the clients’ St Moritz chalet.
We still work closely with the client’s staff to maintain the systems and keep them in good running order.
Fulford Farm
David and his team were privileged to be invited to design and deliver the £250,000 repair & upgrade of an extensive Crestron system for prominent property developer at his country home.
The sprawling property benefited from an upgrade of it’s 23 touch panels along with a new Crestron program to integrate the Lutron lighting system and Trend BMS and a bespoke UI.
Video intercom panels were upgraded at all gates and entrances and interfaced with a custom built SIP server to route calls to the touch panels and video-enabled phones.
The substantial cinema received a dual laser 4K projector which weighed half a ton and required a steel cantilever shelf designed by a structural engineer.
Wilton Street,
Belgravia
David was brought in by the executive team of Sir Malcolm Walker MBE to rescue a very poorly designed and implemented Crestron system in Belgravia.
The entire lighting system was replaced, and the video distribution system was upgraded to 4K.
A new SIP access control system was added along with a fast, secure wired and wireless network.
The biggest problem with the old system was the terribly un-intuitive user interface and buggy Crestron program.
David designed a clean, minimal UI and wrote a brand new program from scratch. Finally giving the frustrated family a simple, practical and intuitive system to use.
